How Are Your Leadership Skills?

Unless you are running a business that is just you, leadership will make or break your ability to grow, scale, and excel in business.

This is a great article about leadership and the 8 Skills that Leaders need to constantly think about, which include:

Be VISIONARY

Do you have a strategic plan? Is this visible, understood, and known to your team?

Make STRATEGIC DECISIONS.

Do you use your strategic plan to FOCUS and stay connected to your goals and will drive your organization forward?

Are you ADAPTABLE?

Do you use coaching to make sure you are not getting in your own way? Does your coach ask you hard questions and help you fact-check your biases, assumptions, and instincts?

Do you have EQ?

Emotional intelligence is critical if you want to keep staff. Have you measured your EQ, or considered a combined DISC / EQ profile report?

Is your COMMUNICATION effective?

The values and goals of the organization come from the strategic plan. Then, ideally, you know your communication style and that of those in your business so you can cater your messages so that they land.

Are you ACCOUNTABLE?

Does the culture of your team value transparency, teamwork and productivity? If not, what are you going to do to improve that? Can a coach help you?

Is your TEAM CONNECTED?

Do you embrace team building and team connection? Is this intentional, purposeful, and does it align with the values of your organization?

Do you NETWORK?

Are you using social media, mastermind groups, community events, industry connections to keep an eye on the landscape?

Coaching can help if you are looking to tweak, expand, or develop your efforts in any of these areas.
